The new Mazda CX-9 will be coming in with a new 2.5 liter turbocharged four cylinder engine and according to Mazda, was made so that it would fit into any other Mazda model but does that means that we will be seeing the engine being offered in the upcoming Mazda 6?
It feels like it would be the right thing for Mazda to do. The fans would definitely want more power and more power is exactly what the engine will be offering. The 2.5 liter turbocharged four cylinder engine will be offering about 227hp and 310lb ft of torque.
However, it looks like it will not be happening in the near future. Although it might be a match, fitting it in is not as easy as it sounds, there will need to do testing and some minor upgrades if the were to fit the Mazda 6 with the new engine and they do not have the time to do.
