Getting an award from the Texas Auto Writers Association is what all truck makers aim for and the Honda Ridgeline, Toyota Tacoma TRD, and Ford Super Duty all managed to snag an award for themselves this year.
The Ford Super Duty was the biggest winner of the lot as they manage to score the prestigious Truck of Texas award which basically means that it is the best truck to own this year. The Ford Super Duty has always been a top favorite so this wasn’t much of a surprise.
The Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro was awarded the Midsize pickup truck of the year which is impressive on its own since they manage to take down models like the GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado.
The most surprising win would probably be the Honda Ridgeline. The Ridgeline is often teased as not being a real truck but it still managed to get a Best Technology award. While it does not specifically say Honda Ridgeline, it highlighted the Honda In Bed Audi system which is a feature offered exclusively on the Honda Ridgeline.
