When it was announced that Honda will be working on giving the Honda CR-V a new design, most people assume that the CR-V will be getting a new design based on the Honda Pilot. A design that seems to be getting great feedbacks from their customers.
However, new spy shots of the Honda CR-V reveal that the Honda will not be using the new Pilot design but will be using the new Honda Civic design as the based. The prototype was well covered but some of the Civic features like the grille, headlights and taillight can still be seen.
Since it will be based on the Honda Civic, it is believed that the Honda CR-V will also be getting the same engine option like the 1.5 liter VTEC engine as well as the 2.0 liter VTEC Turbo engine. The new Honda CR-V should be making its debut at the LA Auto Show.
