The roar of the Ford F-150 Raptor was one of the most iconic features about the Ford F-150 Raptor and that is why it did not sit well with the fans when Ford announce that they were going to replace the engine with a new turbo engine.
While the new turbo engine is more powerful and light, it is also very quiet. Fans were worried that the Raptor would lose its identity if it loses its voice now but based on what we will be getting in return, we think the sacrifice is well worth it.
According to Ford, the Ford F-150 Raptor with its new turbo engine will be able to offer about 450hp and 510lb ft of torque. That is 49hp more than the previous model. It also has 76lf ft of torque more compared to the previous model.
The Raptor now return about 15mpg in the city and 18mpg on the highway while the previous model return only 11mpg in the city and 16mpg on the highway.
