For performance model like the Chevrolet Camaro, it is always about how much it can offer and how powerful it is. One of their biggest rivals right now is the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat who delivers about 707hp with its Hellcat engine.
Chevrolet was hoping to give it a run for their money by releasing the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. On paper, the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is capable of hitting a high speed of 198mph which is as fast as the Corvette Z06 and close to the 204mph that the Dodge Challenger Hellcat is offering.
However, just as the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 think that it is getting close, Dodge came out to announce that they will be working on a new Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. We still do not know how much the Demon will be offering but it is safe to assume that it will be offering more than the Hellcat model.
Of course, Chevrolet has the ZR1 but it does feel like they are constantly trying to keep up with their competitors.
