Who wouldn’t love the Chevrolet Camaro? The car was already a legend in the US before becoming a global icon after it became the base model for the Transformer’s protagonist, Bumblebee. Come 2016, the Camaro will get a new model added to its line-up but today, the world can already get a better look of the vehicle.
In a series of leaked images, the Camaro can be spotted resting beside the Chevrolet Impala. From the image, we can tell that the Camaro’s wheelbase is about 109.32”. This is near-identical to the Cadillac ATS and 3” shorter than the existing Camaro.
While the camouflage might hide the Camaro’s true shape and design, some glimpses through the sheetmetal hints at a faster roofline than the current Camaro’s, and the front and rear ends likely taper far more than the camo itself. Over at the tail, one can spot the quad-exhaust system which can only mean that the Camaro will be running on a V8 engine.
The leak spy shots of the Chevrolet Camaro come to the relief of many as Chevy has behaved rather quietly on the future vehicle. With the 2015 Ford Mustang and Dodge’s Challenger getting all the attention, Chevy needs to get everything right with the Camaro in order for it to compete with its rivals.
