2015 Chevy Colorado Is An Environment Ambassador!

A couple of weeks ago, Chevrolet announced on how the Colorado will be fully customizable. Earlier today, the American carmaker went out to reveal the results of a fuel economy test on the highly anticipated pickup truck.

Before we proceed, it is important to note that the Colorado runs on a V6 engine, which is famous for being a fuel drainer. Despite that fact, Chevrolet revealed that the pickup truck is 3 to 5mpg more efficient than its competitors.

In detail, the 2WD versions powered by the 305-hp 3.6-liter V6 engine are 18 mpg (13 l/100km) city/21 mpg (11.2 l/100km) combined/26 mpg (9 l/100km) highway. All-wheel drive variants return 17 mpg (13.8 l/100km) city/20 mpg (11.7 l/100km) combined/24 mpg (9.8 l/100km) highway.

It is about to get more exciting as Chevrolet is also producing a third variation and it is known as the Colorado Durmax. The pickup truck is powered by a 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel and is promised to be the most fuel-efficient model in the line-up.

Colorado’s marketing manager, Tony Johnson, revealed that the pickup truck is really fun to drive in and also easy to own. The lad further explained that active grille shutters combine with an aerodynamic design in a smaller, more manoeuvrable package to set a new standard for fuel economy in midsize trucks.

With that being said, it further justifies why the Colorado will be the bestselling pickup truck this year. We don’t expect its competitors to even stand a chance.
