2015 Chevrolet Colorado Confirmed, No Room For Failures

The Colorado from Chevrolet was first introduced as a direct replacement for the S-10 but it has failed to live up to its full potential. The failure of the Colorado left many believing that Chevrolet has axed the model.

However, the pickup truck is far from dead as next year, Chevrolet will be releasing the next Colorado. The vehicle was featured during the 2013 LA Auto Show and it got sturdier than ever. Chevrolet actually utilized hydroformed steel frame for the Colorado’s structure. In addition to that, the design will be boosted with a gunmetal grille and 17” aluminium rims.

Inside the cabin, the Colorado looks so much like the Silverado. There is a large center stack and controls, a 3.4 inch display that shows all the vehicles vital information, and six air bags.

Under the hood, the car runs on a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine that will produce 200 horsepower and 191 pound-feet of torque or the optional 3.6-liter V-6 engine with 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. Information on the diesel engine has yet to be released.

If this is to materialize, then the Colorado will surely rival the Toyota Tacoma, Nissan Frontier, and the Honda Ridgeline. The pickup truck will be unveiled in fall this year before going for a global release in early 2015. Chevrolet will be retailing the Colorado at a figure around $20,000.
