Even before Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich has had the chance of getting out of the gates fully has a report coming in suggesting that Google is set to release Android 5.0 JellyBean in Q2 2012.
Android 5.0 Jellybean rolling out in Q2 2012 (report)
According to the report by DigiTimes, users are apparently unhappy with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (really?) and the new OS update will be the savior as it brings dual-boot capabilities.
That’s right, with dual-boot capabilities you could theoretically run Android and another OS such as Windows 8 or Chrome. Of course, these are all rumors at this time and given DigiTimes track record with such things, we will not hold our breath on a new major Android update coming so soon.
On a side note, both HTC and Motorola recently announced their Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade roadmaps and it will be well into Q3 2012 before many of today’t top Android smartphones get it.
