[DEAL ALERT] Samsung Galaxy S3 Price Dropped Again

After a successful launch of the Samsung Galaxy S3, it is now set to see some more brilliant discounts by way of third party retailers. While we already saw the price tag slashed from $199 to $179 by some carriers at launch, it was only a week after that we saw certain retailers take things one step further and drag it to $149.99.

Samsung Galaxy S3 price drops third time this week alone

Now the Amazon Wireless mid-summer sale which began on the 17th July and only going to continue for a set time is going one further. Phones included in the sale are the Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC EVO, Samsung Galaxy Nexus 4G and the Motorola DROID RAZR. However we do not know yet if AT&T are getting involved in this, or if it will just be Sprint and Verizon.

On Sprint, the dual-core Samsung Galaxy S3 (running on Android 4.0) is up for sale at $139.99, down $10. The HTC EVO 4G LTE has an even more impressive sale-price-tag at a jaw-dropping $79.99, down from $129.99. This will be particularly useful as Sprint are just beginning activation of some of the areas they are due to provide LTE. This means data transfer speeds up to 8Mbps, so they are hoping to use this sale to promote this new development in their service.

Verizon are offering the dual-core Nexus 4G with LTE capabilities basically for free (or technically, for $0.01) down from $79.99 and as one of the most lusted after smartphones currently available on Verizon, this is very enticing. The Motorola Droid RAZR is also offered for the same price of ‘practically free’ at $0.01, down from $99.99.

Now US carriers are upgrading telecoms infrastructure at an alarming pace, particularly the Big Red, predictions have been made by both analysts and experts in the field that by next year most users of smartphones will be using 4G LTE, which is why promotions for the service have already begun.

Bear in mind that the above sale prices are only available along with a 2 year contract with the carrier, or as an additional line on your family plan that you should already have.
