Verizon Exempts Samsung Galaxy S3 From Wrath of Tiered Plans Under One Condition

Customers with Verizon who wish to upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy S3 can keep their present unlimited data plan if they make the upgrade before the 29th June, reports Droid-Life.

Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 buyers can keep unlimited data plan if pre-order this month

When Verizon announced the Samsung Galaxy S3 there was a lot of confusion about whether customers making the upgrade would lose their current plan and be switched to the new tiered data plans. However Verizon have set the record straight and as long as the upgrade is completed before June 29th customers get to keep their unlimited data. The confusion surfaced as Verizon announced their Share Everything Plans and Verizon reps who apparently were just as confused as customers told those enquiring that they would lose their plans.

However a top communications director at Verizon set the record straight and put customers at ease. They had thought that they had to choose between losing their unlimited data plans if they wanted to upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy S3 or stick with their plans and their current phone.

Shared Data plans are set to go live from July 9th but providing customers pre-order before June 29th they keep their plans, even if the S3 is delayed and customers cannot activate it until after the plans go live. The phone is one of the most anticipated of Android smartphones of 2012 thanks to its stunning 4.8 inch Super AMOLED HD screen and powerful processor.
