The highly anticipated Microsoft Office for iPad his set to hit the App Store on November 10, claim the folks over at TheDaily. Office is of course one of the most widely used pieces of software for just about everything from PCs to Macs.
Microsoft Office for iPad tipped to hit App Store in November only
TheDaily reported that the team at Microsoft had completed their work on the project in May and that the app had now been turned over into the hands of a “usability” team whose job it was to test the app and appraise the software. The team also suggests any changes that are needed, if there are any needed, back to the developers. Once approved the app will then go on to the App Store where it has to gain approval and this may takes around a couple of weeks.
However the question is, if the app is finished why would Microsoft wait for another five months before releasing it? Now answer was given to this by the sources that leaked the November 10 date.
The story is in line with the one reported last week about the productivity suite coming to Android tablets in November. Rumors started surfacing late in 2011 about the world wide used suite being converted to iOS and it was stated that at the same time the company in Redmond were working on an update for Office for Mac which would be available through the App Store. The Daily leaked photos of what Office would look like when running on an iPad in February of 2012. At the time Microsoft were said to have called it inaccurate and classed it as nothing but rumors and speculation.
