We all know that Sprint will be getting the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and now we have another clue that its release is fairly close.
Sprint Samsung Galaxy Nexus clears FCC
A recently surfaced FCC filing from last week has shown that a device codenamed SPH-L700 will be arriving with 850MHz and 1,900MHz CDMA plus a 1,900MHz LTE, which is a dead giveaway that it is the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Nexus LTE. Another clue is that it will support NFC which until date is only a very few Android smartphones.
Sprint has already confirmed that it will be bringing the 32GB Samsung Galaxy Nexus and will also boast Google Wallet for NFC payments, this of course is blocked on the Verizon variant..
The Sprint Samsung Galaxy Nexus is expected to rollout sometime around when the carrier’s LTE network is in good standing i.e. around mid-year. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the only smartphone announced for Sprint’s LTE network at the moment but rumors suggest the Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5 will follow.
