Porsche has gone ahead and officially announced the all-new Boxster. Featuring a new body and completely revised chassis, the Porsche sports car will debut in both Boxster and Boxster S forms.

Boasting a brand new flat-six engines with direct injection, alongside larger wheels, longer wheelbase and a drop in weight, the new Porsche Boxster provides even better handling than its already well tuned predecessors.
On the exterior we find it now has shorter front and rear overhangs, a more upright windscreen, squeezed silhouette and bolder edges. On the inside we find the Porsche Boxster borrow the centre console from the Carrera GT for improved ergonomics. There is also more room for the passengers of the vehicle.
Back to the engine, the new Boxster will utilize a 2.7 litre V6 with 265hp. The Boxster S will brag a 3.4-litre engine with 315hp at its disposal. Both variants will come equipped with a manual 6-speed gearbox as standard, with a 7-speed dual-clutch Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) available as an option. On paper, the new Porsche Boxster has improved bragging rights, which includes a 0-100 km/h time of 5.7 seconds for the Boxster and 5 seconds flat for the Boxster S.
Other equipment available for the Boxster include Alcantara interior, 18-inch alloy wheels, Auto stop/start, Sports mode, remote control hood operation and a 7-inch touchscreen. The Boxster S variant throws in larger 19-inch alloy wheels and Bi-Xenon headlights.
