While Motorola Mobility had already unveiled the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX and DROID 4, a release date was left out of the announcement. Well it looks like we won’t have to wait for one as Motorola has inadvertently divulged that juicy bit of information too.
Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX available January 26
According to Electronista, Motorola has posted on its own product page that the new Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX ships on January 26. Given that the three new DROID RAZR color options (black, white and purple) are all expected to hit stores on January 23rd, this new date does seem to tie in.
Now if you’re late to the party and have no clue what this MAXX variant of the DROID RAZR is, let us recap. The Motorola DROID RAZR Maxx retains the same 4.3-inch qHD display and 1.2GHz dual-core processor but throws in a larger 3,300mAh battery that’s capa ble of 21 hours of talk time or roughtly 8 HD movies in one go. This is a big deal given that the original Motorola DROID RAZR didn’t even have enough juice when it came to surfing at 4G LTE speeds.
On the software front, Motorola is expected to throw in a couple of its own image editing tools for the DROID RAZR MAXX. More on this as it develops.
