The surprises keep rolling in at the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo with the latest eyebrow raiser coming from Hyundai.
Hyundai Hexa Space MPV squeezes 8 passengers into tiny frame
The Korean based company has just unveiled its Hexa Space Concept MPV which is designed for crowded roads like India. Managing to squeeze 8 passengers into its narrow 1820mm frame, the Hexa Space MPV has excellent maneuverability and a frugal 1.2-litre turbo GDI Kappa engine that is paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
With dimensions of 4300 mm long, a wheelbase of 2750 mm and a height of 1647 mm, the Hexa Space can share the same platform as the compact Hyundai ix20.
Boasting a 3+3+2 layout, with the second row having the centre passenger seat slightly behind to provide more shoulder room, the Hexa Space’s seats are hexagonal in shape and can be folded flat. Convenient access to the cabin is taken care of by rear doors that extend out and slide backwards. Check out pictures of the Hyundai Hexa Space Concept from the New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 below.
