With still close to two months before the Geneva Motor Show rolls in, we are beginning to see models that were destined for the show already begin to break cover. One such case is the 2013 Hyundai i20.
2013 Hyundai i20 winter testing spy shots
Caught on spy camera heavily camouflaged and possibly undergoing cold winter testing, there isn’t much to see but in the details lay some interesting points. For one, it is clear that the 2013 Hyundai i20 will borrow design cues from the bigger i40. We can see signs of Hyundai’s new design language dubbed ‘fluidic sculpture’ as well which brings the hatchback in line with the other 2011+ models.
In addition to the overall design, the front fascia appears to showcase a crossbar grille design and long LED headlamps, giving it a more upmarket feel. Unfortunately there are no pictures of the interior which we are assuming is where a lot of the fun lies. Just like the 2011+ Hyundai models, expect more chrome and tech savvy features.
The 2013 Hyundai i20 is expected to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March and likely comes with both petrol and diesel engine options (1.2-litre and 1.4-litre options).
