The Kia Soul is one of the most stylish hatchbacks around but it is unfortunate that the 2010-2013 models with sunroofs are being recalled by the South Korean car manufacturer.
The recall was made yesterday due to an issue where the headliner plate surrounding the sunroof may detach when the side curtain airbag is deployed. If such a scenario is to happen, then it will put the driver and passengers at risk of injury in the event of a crash.
In detail, an estimated 95,314 units of the Kia Soul here in the US are being recalled by the car manufacturer. This consists of the Soul that is produced between January 8, 2009 and October 2, 2013.
As such, drivers and owners of the Kia Soul are best to head down to the nearest service centre and get their sunroof fixed. Of course, no charges will be incurred if the parts are discovered to be faulty.
