Honda, Toyota, Nissan & More Rallied To Develop Self-Drive Technology

Honda, Toyota and Nissan are three of the biggest automotive manufacturers from Japan and now; they will have to put their rivalries aside and work together to develop self-drive technology.

This was the request made by the government after they announced that they will be financing $84million dollars for self-drive technology. In addition to that, the government wishes for its tech sector and automotive industry to work together in creating the standards of self-drive technology.

As such, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, University of Tokyo, Nagoya University, Panasonic and Hitachi will have to cooperate with each other and send their finest developers to gather together and develop self-drive technology. Of course, this is only going to happen later this year.

Elsewhere, Germany has already done something similar after getting Mercedes, BMW and Volkswagen together to develop self-drive technology. The German carmakers are being aided by Bosch.
