2016 Mustang GT Review: Guzzles Gas, Seating Is Tight and Interior Is Cheap

There is no denying that the 2016 Mustang GT is sexy and sleek looking, while the interior is modern and the suspension is refined. On the downside the interior does look cheap and the car drinks the gas fast.

You cannot mistake the 2016 Mustang GT for the predecessor as this time around the glass at the back is raked steeply, while the tail is tapered and the headlights are alongside the trapezoidal grille. Many styling details stand out and the car has a profile that is wider and lower. It also has the Brembo front brake calipers along with the 19 inch painted wheels and P-Zero tires.

If you pay out an extra $1, 595 for the 2016 Mustang GT you will get the Recaro front seats and they are well worth paying out for. Finding the perfect driving position is easy and it puts all the controls within easy reach. The stitching on the dashboard and the panels is good but if you were expecting to get anything that is above the normal then you are going to be disappointed.

The V8 5.0 litre engine will not disappoint you thanks to it offering 435hp and 400 pound feet of torque. There is little doubt that the 2016 Mustang GT is satisfying when it comes to the drive, however the 6 speed is not as satisfying to drive as is a Porsche. It does give lots of power and the upshifting is fast. On the downside the seating in the back is tight.

The 2016 Ford Mustang GT is offered with electric line lock and it comes with adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning. The 2.3 litre EcoBoost engine with 4 cylinder turbocharged engine offers power and efficiency. You can get around 32mpg from it if on the highway and around 25mpg combined.

The 2016 Ford Mustang GT will be in competition with the Mercedes-Benz, Porsche 911 and the Chevrolet Corvette.
