If you thought the Ford Focus ST is powerful, wait till you hear about the Focus RS. Due to arrive in 2016, the Focus RS is expected to come with a whopping 350hp driven on the AWD system.
In detail, Ford will be equipping the Focus RS with a 2.3L turbocharged EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine. This will come together with improved torque vectoring front and rear, thus improving the Focus RS overall performance.
On the downside of things, the Focus RS is still in the planning phase by Ford and rumours are indicating that the car won’t be made available to the local US market. After all, Ford already has the Lincoln MKC and the Mustang EcoBoost for their performance vehicles and adding the Focus RS to that list can be bad for business.
Then again, Ford is also very aggressive on every competition, hence, suggesting that the Focus RS will be launched in the US regardless of the consequences. With that being said, we personally believe that the Focus RS will get launched here in the US.
