Ford has finally gone public to confirm that the next-gen Focus RS will get released globally ant that includes the US. The future sports hatch will be powered by a 2.3L EcoBoost engine when released with over 300hp to offer.
The confirmation was made earlier today and it certainly gives local Focus fans a sigh of relief. This is because they were worried that the Focus RS won’t make its debut here in the US like how it was indicated in the rumours.
Prior to Ford’s announcement, rumours were rife in claiming that the next-gen Focus RS will not enjoy a local release due to the availability of the EcoBoost-powered Lincoln MKC and also the Mustang.
Well, now that Ford has cleared the air, there is no longer a need to worry about this as the future Focus RS will be available on American soil. It is simply impossible to see Ford voiding the Focus RS from making a home debut.
