While we are still early in 2015, we can’t wait for 2016 to arrive as it will see both the Volvo XC90 and the next-gen Audi Q7 competing against each other. The latter was confirmed for production last week and today, car junkies can catch a glimpse of the vehicle.
This is thanks to the new spy shots that show the Q7 test mule in action at Audi’s production facility and it wears a larger grille, narrower headlamps and more haunches on the wheel arches. Unfortunately, we can’t go into detail as the Q7 is well wrapped under camouflage.
Nevertheless, we can expect the Q7 to run on a 3L TDI engine that will look to offer about 218 to 320PS. Also, the Q7 will be light in weight, thus, making it better optimized for power and more fuel efficient than before.
Even so, we feel that the Q7 is short of offerings when compare to the upcoming Volvo XC90. The future Swedish SUV comes with a beautiful design that will be hard for the Q7 to compete with.
