2015 started off with a bang when Subaru stole the headlines after releasing both the XV Crosstrek STI and the Forester STI. However, the aforementioned vehicles are only available in the Asia Pacific region with little known on whether they will be shipped to Europe, US and Australia.
On the other hand, both STI trims of the XV Crosstrek and the Forester are pieced together at the legendary racing track in Germany, Nurnbergring. With the track emulating real world road experience, both vehicles came out with 19” rims and wider tyres paired to improved suspensions.
Surely, both the Forester STI and the XV Crosstrek STi are powerful vehicles and deserve a global release. Well, the good news is Subaru teased that it is going to ship the cars all over the world. However, the Japanese carmaker failed to highlight on when it will happen. Also, Subaru failed to share on how much the XV Crosstrek STI and Forester STI will retail.
For all we know, both vehicles will be powered by the same 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that despite of its power, it returns 31mpg in fuel economy. In figures, consumers can get treated to 296hp and 295ft-lbs of torque.
