The latest Subaru WRX STI is undoubtedly one of the best sports cars in its segment. Then again, the same can be said for the all-new Porsche Cayman. While it might sound ridiculous, both vehicles have actually taken part in a drag race against each other.
By far, this is a contest that has nothing to accomplish. It is a straight out brawl between the $38,190 WRX STI and the $70,160 Cayman. On papers, it looks like the STI is the better vehicle.
The latter is powered by a 2.5L turbocharged F4 engine that is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. This allows it to generate 305hp and 290lb-fts of torque.
The Porsche Cayman, on the other hand, is powered by a 2.7L F6 engine that is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. This generates 275hp and 213lb-ft of torque.
