Both the latest Honda HR-V and the Jeep Renegade are two very similar SUVs but they are actually tailored for different things. Today, we are going to highlight on the major differences between the two and they are ass follow.
Starting with the HR-V, it is powered by a 1.5L 4-cylinder engine that develops 170hp and 106ft-lbs of torque. The motor is mated to a CVT transmission and this basically confirms that the vehicle is designed to be fuel savvy. In short, the HR-V is a perfect compact SUV for daily travels and cheap operating cost.
This is something that is totally the opposite of the latest Jeep Renegade. The latter is powered by a 1.4L turbocharged engine that is paired to a 6-speed transmission. Compared to the HR-V, the Renegade is a massive fuel sucker.
On the other hand, the benefit with the Renegade is its 4WD mechanism. When engaged, the Renegade will be able to take on the dirt trails and hill ascends with ease.
With that being said, it makes things clearer now that the HR-V and Renegade have totally different target audiences. Nevertheless, both compact SUVs are great in their own way.
