2015 Audi A3 Review: The Best Cheap Luxury Around

The Audi A3 is one of the bestselling luxury compact sedans in the world and it is not surprising why. This is because the A3 comes with a micro price tag, thus, making it the most affordable luxury vehicles in the world right now.

Looking at the latest A3, it comes with that hallmark styling from Audi. In short, the A3 looks like a smaller version of the A6 but that does not mean that it is short of features for the consumers to enjoy.

The entry level model is powered by a 1.8L turbocharged petrol 4-cylinder which develops 170hp and 200ft-lbs of torque. On the other hand, consumers can also opt for the 2L 4-cylinder petrol, the 2L 4-cylinder diesel or the top of the line 2L turbocharged 4-cylinder. Either way, the A3 will still be operated with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Despite having so much power to offer, the Audi A3 can also be said to be economical. The entry level rig returns 23mpg in city, 33mpg on highways and 27mpg on combined road conditions.

There is simply little to dislike about the Audi A3. Even if it retails from $30,795, the compact sedan is able to offer world class handling that is completed with luxurious features like leather interior and a huge sun-roof.

If there is a flaw that needs to be pointed out with the A3, it is with the bizarre mixture of features that are offered as a standard. We were shocked upon learning that despite the many exquisite features; the A3 lacks a reverse camera.

Nevertheless, the Audi A3 is a superb compact sedan overall and there is no denying that fact. Also, its small price tag will be the main selling point for the vehicle.
