Samsung Galaxy S5, G3 & The Nexus 6 Expected To Go Flexi In 2014

Samsung and LG showed us what was possible with curved displays when they revealed the LG G Flex and the Samsung Galaxy Round. Analysts have predicted from this that flexible screen technology could arrive on the next gen LG and Samsung devices.

Handsets that may bring flexible screens include the LG Nexus 6, the LG G3, Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

Reports from industry insiders lead us to believe that Samsung are putting flexible displays into production this year and they could time this with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S5.

Wraparound displays may offer owners views from three angles, but not a 360 degree view. This may depend on how the device is put down. The display could be viewed from various angles and when the device is on its back seams would be seen.

LG have not said anything about how they may use the flexible technology, however it is possible they could implement it on the LG Nexus 6 and LG G3, which should be launched this year.

When the Samsung Galaxy Round was released, it was launched in limited amounts. This year could be different and flexible technology could be made more accessible with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S5, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and handsets from LG.
