Samsung Galaxy S5 Roundup: Release Date, Specs & Other Leaks

One of the latest rumours going around about the release date of the Samsung Galaxy S5 is that the handset may be launched in March, just ahead of a release date in April. This may put the handsets launch at the MWC in Barcelona.

Watchers of Samsung said that Samsung will want the handset to enjoy being in the limelight and they will want it to be among the first flagship handsets to be released in 2014. Following its launch it is expected that it will fast become one of the must have Android devices and will knock competitors from the top spot.

There has been many rumours going around about what the Samsung Galaxy S5 will offer.

There is little doubt that when the Samsung Galaxy S5 arrives it will have specs to die for along with killer features. Fans of the Galaxy series are hoping that the display will be improved on from the 1080p that came with the Samsung Galaxy S4 last year. rumours have suggested that the display could be a Quad HD with resolution of 2560 x 1440.

GottaBeMobile suggested that the display resolution could have been over exaggerated and that Samsung will opt to remain with the 1080p display.

We have heard that the Samsung Galaxy S5 may arrive with a battery of 2900mAh, the Exynos 6 processor in 64 bit, which would be energy efficient and which would mean the device would run longer in-between charging.

CNET pointed out that the Samsung Galaxy S5 may need just two hours to charge fully and the battery would last for a full day.

Following the Moto G Google Play Edition GottaBeMobile said that we could see the Samsung Galaxy S5 on native Android. Samsung did launch the Google Play Edition of the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Samsung are not likely to abandon TouchWiz that easily though so perhaps we could see a Nexus build of the device running pure Android.
