There’s a rumour about the Google Nexus 10 2 having a 12” display and no menu buttons. This means it’d sport the same looks as the recently-released Samsung Galaxy Pro line of tablets.
Nexus fans were disappointed that the Nexus 10 2 didn’t come out at CES, and the tablet has missed a few “release dates” now. Google isn’t saying anything about this device – not even whether it’ll even be released. Samsung took this quiet period to bombard the market with four new tablets!
Product Reviews said that Google would have to re-do the Nexus 10 2. It was rumoured that Samsung would build it, which is where the idea of a big screen and no menu buttons came from.
Samsung delivered the Galaxy Note Pro and the TabPro 12.2, which both have big displays and the highest ppis of any tablet in the world. The displays on this pair are both 12.2”.
Then again, some people thought that Google would engage LG or ASUS to build the Nexus 10 2. @evleaks tweeted that ASUS was most likely.
The Nexus 10 came out in November 2012, so it’s pretty ancient! The fans want a new gadget, and their anticipation has been heightened by thoughts of a 10” screen and a 2560x1600ppi. There might also be 3GB of RAM, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 or Tegra 4 chip.
The camera will most likely be 8MP, and there’ll be 16GB and 32GB versions.
