I hate to admit it but I’m a sucker for everything that involves zombies. Deep down, I’ve always wanted to experience that ultimate zombie apocalypse and I’ve finally found the platform to do so.
The upcoming game called DayZ Standalone is able to offer me that thrill. It all started with Steam releasing DayZ on Early Access. I decided to give it shot and I am proud to say that it is worth every second.
Upon starting the DayZ Standalone, the protagonist can be seen lying on the beach with only a flashlight.
There appears to be no life around me. After looting on every cabin, I managed to get proper clothing.
Not far from the starting point, there is a house. It is something you must enter when playing. After all, you are figuring out on where to go and such. When in the house, a voice can be heard calling for you. The lad made it clear that he is unarmed and his fate lies in your hand.
What made DayZ interesting is the fact that it is full of deceit and surprises. After all, it is set in a plagued world and every survivor in DayZ is desperate to make it through the apocalypse.
I would love to reveal more about the game but it will only spoil your experience. DayZ is known to be among the games that offer the biggest landmass for players to explore. Not only that, players are forced to be extra careful in the game as it is hard to tell friends from foes.
Now, I have a strong hatred for Steam. They reeled me in to test DayZ and now I’m addicted. Seeing the game looking to debut as early as next year, it is going to be a long wait.
