Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 5 has created a new sales record of $1 billion in a matter of three days. However, the sales performance does not reflect well on the charts. Apparently, FIFA 14 is leading the sales chart with GTA V positioned 2nd.
The much controversial GTA V is simply not enough to compete with the world’s most popular sport official game. GTA V inconsistent sale after the 3 days period sees it drop by 82% this week. While it is still impressive, Fifa 14 simply does one better.
However it is also reported that the football game loses 24% of sale compared to its predecessor the FIFA 13. This could be either due to gamers having spent a lot of money on GTA V and needs some time for the FIFA 14 or simply because many players wants the game on the next generation consoles such as the Xbox One and PS4.
Chart-Track reveals that GTA V’s second week sales are like 18th biggest week if put against the 1st week sales.
FIFA 14 fiercest rival, Pro Evolution Soccer manages only 4th place. In a descending order, the top ten consist of Rayman Legends, Diablo 3, Saints Row 4, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Disney Infiniti, The Last of Us, Pro Evolution Soccer 14, Minecraft: Xbox 360 version, GTA V and of course FIFA 14.
