There is a big rumour doing the rounds suggesting that Fallout 4 has been cancelled by Bethesda. The highly anticipated title is expected to be the next big thing to come from the game developer but now, things are in doubt for the sequel.
More surprisingly, the rumours came out even before Bethesda had anything to share on the status of Fallout 4. The word is that Bethesda is facing an obstacle they can’t tackle when attempting to turn Fallout 4 into an MMOPG. To be specific, the obstacle is actually Fallout’s original creator, Interplay Entertainment.
The game developer is clearly frustrated and decided to drop Fallout 4 once and for all. It is really easy to understand Bethesda’s decision here. After all, the company has already purchased full ownership for the Fallout franchise and they are clearly gutted by the constraints faced when developing Fallout 4.
Then again, the above is still based on rumours so it is best taken with a pinch of salt. The Fallout franchise is a profit maker and it is difficult to see Bethesda dropping it over some disappointment in turning Fallout 4 into an MMORPG.
