The people over in Russia might be getting the Volkswagen Atlas later than the people here in the US but it looks like they might have gotten the longer end of the stick as Volkswagen reveal the engine options that they will be offering in Russia.
Here in the US, the Volkswagen Atlas will be coming in with a 2.0-liter engine that will be offering about 238hp as well as a 3.6-liter engine that will be offering about 280hp. Both engines will be petrol engines.
The Volkswagen Atlas that will be heading to Russia, on the other hand, will come with a 2.0-liter diesel engine with a few output options. Some people were hoping that the Atlas going to Russia would also mean that Volkswagen would consider offering it in other parts of Europe but Volkswagen made it clear that it is most likely not going to happen.
The Volkswagen Atlas will be released in Russia late next year.
