We knew that Pokemon Go was going to be huge when it was released and it was. Google has just revealed the Google’s Year in Search 2016 report and it looks like the Pokemon Go was the biggest winner.
According to the report, Pokemon Go was the most search term for the year beating searches like Donald Trump, iPhone 7 as well as Powerball. If it was based on countries, Pokemon Go was second in the UK while “Pokeman” Go was fourth in the US.
The term Pokemon was the most search terms for countries like Taiwan, Singapore, Philipines, Chile, and Peru while the top How to question was “How to Play Pokemon Go in the UK and the US.
Although things have died down significantly since it was first released, it is still impressive to see how popular the app was when Niantic first release it out.
