Just because the Honda CR-V is ahead of the Toyota RAV4 right now does not mean that Honda should relax and take it easy. While Toyota has been working to make sure they meet the demands of their customers, Honda seems to be taking their own sweet time with it.
To satisfy their customers, Toyota started offering the RAV4 Hybrid this year and according to the reports, the arrival of the hybrid model has helped increase the sales of the Toyota RAV4 by 10%.
You would think that that will be enough to convince Honda to start working on a hybrid option for their 2017 model but it does not seem like Honda has any intention to do so.
There was talk that the Honda CR-V might come with a hybrid engine but that will only happen when the 2018 model arrives. Do you think Honda will regret their decision in the near future?
