Subaru BRZ: Abandoned In The Dark

The BRZ sports car is considered as something special for car enthusiasts worldwide as it is touted as the modern remake of the old legend, Toyota 86. However, the BRZ line of cars was developed by the collaboration of Toyota and Subaru.

Just recently, this relationship has taken a sour twist as Subaru refused to create a successor for the 2013 BRZ. On the other hand, Toyota is hoping to take the BRZ to a whole new level. Now, word has it that Toyota is abandoning Subaru completely. If this is true, then the BRZ will surely get axed from further development.

Toyota’s chief engineer, Tetsuya Tada, revealed that he is looking forward into the future. There, the 86 can be revived yet again, through the new partnership of Toyota and BMW. If so, then the future 86 will surely be a powerful vehicle and be the downfall of the BRZ.

Subaru might want to reconcile their partnership with Toyota as the BRZ is widely considered as the best to come from Japan. If no agreement is met, it will be a bigger loss for Subaru.
