We have long heard about the Sailfish and Marlin from Google but initial rumors suggest that there was the codename for the new Nexus smartphone coming out this year.
Not too long ago, new rumors suggest that Google is looking to drop the Nexus. Now, new reports are claiming that the real device name for Sailfish and Marlin is actually Pixel and Pixel XL.
According to Android Police, the new Pixel and Pixel XL will be announced on the 4th of October. There is not a whole lot of details about the devices right now but it is said that Google will also be announcing a few other gadgets alongside the smartphone including the 4K Chromecast possibly called Chromecast Ultra and Chromecast Plus as well as a VR headset called Daydream VR.
More details will be revealed as we get closer to the announcement date.
