Xperia Z2 vs HTC One M8 vs Galaxy S5 vs LG G3: Which Is Better?

Four super smartphones are coming this year and they are expected to take technology to a whole new level. They are the Sony Xperia Z2, HTC One M8, Samsung Galaxy S5 and the LG G3. There is an overwhelming amount of anticipation for all four devices but which of them will live up to its expectations?

Both the Sony Xperia Z2 and the Samsung Galaxy S5 has already been unveiled and it appears that they are merely upgrades of their respective predecessors. They are running on the latest Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz. However, the Xperia Z2 has 3GB of RAM compared to the Galaxy S5 2GB.

Samsung might have equipped the Galaxy S5 with a 16MP rear camera but the Z2 boast more pixel count with its 20.7MP rear camera. In spite of that, the Galaxy S5 has the fastest focus rate at only 0.3seconds.

Then there is the HTC One M8. Many leaks have surfaced for this device and it is expected to run on the same processor with the Z2 and S5. As for the clocking speed, it could either end up with 2.3GHz or 2.5GHz. The RAM is also unconfirmed and expected to be either 2GB or 3GB. The HTC One M8 camera will be something different. It will have a small pixel count of 4 or 5MP. However, there is the UltraPixel capabilities which will produce high quality images despite having a small pixel count.

Comparing the trio, there isn’t much difference among them. Of course, the S5 has all the latest innovation like a fingerprint scanner and a heartbeat sensor. It is unsure on what will come with the HTC One M8 but it is expected to be around the same wavelength.

Aside from all that, there is the LG G3. While the previous trio are just upgrades of their predecessors, the G3 is expected to be the device that revolutionizes the tech industry. Expected to arrive in June, the G3 is rumoured to run on either the Odin octa-core processor or even the upcoming Snapdragon 805. If it is the former, four cores are expected to run at 2.2GHz while the remaining four at 1.7GHz. This will definitely redefine speed on smartphones.

It will be even faster if the RAM is 3GB. According to the many rumours, LG will be looking to introduce its own fingerprint scanner on the G3. Aside from that, everything will be more or less the same for the G3. Of course, these are still base on rumours and the real thing has yet to materialize.

As such, it is important for consumers to wait at least until the end of June before upgrading their device. This is to avoid any regrets in the future. Once the G3 is unleashed, we will be able to tell on which smartphone will triumph in this fatal-four-way.
