Resident Evil 7: Capcom May Hurt Own Franchise With Newest Venture

Resident Evil 6 was launched and met with anger from fans of the game series as Capcom didn’t restore the gameplay that they had come to know and love. Game play changed since Resident Evil 4 and the majority of game fans called for Capcom to return back to the roots. Now fans are hoping that Capcom will do this with Resident Evil 7.

Most fans of the series started with the first Resident Evil game and at this time it offered gamers plenty of hair raising experiences and it was in contention with Silent Hill.

Since Resident Evil 4 the storyline has been more along the lines of action and it seems that the series has lost its way and has turned into just being another shooting game.

Capcom risk losing their fan base unless the new game meets the demands of fans and is more like it was when it first started. The Evil Within has been talked about a great deal after trailers were released for it.

The game looks as though gamers will be able to enjoy some horrific gameplay along with mystery and plenty of puzzles. From the trailers it does look as if Capcom could lose some sales figures to The Evil Within.

If Capcom wants to save themselves they will have turnaround Resident Evil 7 and make it more in line with Resident Evil 4 for gameplay.

At the moment it is looking as if The Evil Within could become a nightmare for Capcom and Resident Evil 7.
