Moto X Green LED Light Under Earpiece Hacked! Works With Tasker Now

It has been said that the green LED light which is under the earpiece of the Moto X has been hacked and it is now working with Tasker. Now owners of the Moto X are baffled as to why Motorola didn’t enable it when they launched the phone.

It seems that other devices of Motorola also have the LED under the earpiece, devices are said to include the Droid DNA, EVO 4G LTE and the Droid Mini. A report has said that one owner uses the light for when their handset is charging and the light turns off when the handset is full charged.

A user over at XDA developers pointed out that Moto X did come with a notification light after it was thought that the device only had an active notification system. It was said that the user found it out with a defective moto maker xt1053 which was said to have a corrupt system. It is thought that they plugged it into a USB on the computer and a graphic showed up on the display as it does when the device is off, this showed zero percent charge. This is when the owner saw a bright green LED light with long blinks coming from the speaker grille. This sparked the question of whether or not there was any way to enable it. The answer to this lies over at Reddit as one user shows how it is possible using the app Tasker.
