Owners of the Apple iPhone 4S have been reporting that following the update to iOS 7 the battery life of their device has suffered. Meanwhile iPhone 5 owners seen to have gotten off a lot better following the update. It seems that the problem is more damaging to the battery of the iPhone 4S than that of the iPhone 5 as we haven’t heard many complaints about the latter.
Owners of the iPhone 4S began to complain about poor battery life not long after making the update to iOS 7.0.3. The issues isn’t thought to be hardware related. This was proven as when iOS 6 the battery did last a great deal longer. However it does seem that this issue hasn’t been affecting all owners of the iPhone 4S. Reports suggest that this is something that does happen randomly, but it has been suggested that it all depends on how people install the update on their handset.
One of the best ways to get around it if plagued by it after updating is to go to the nearest Apple store with your handset.
Another option that has been said to work depends on whether or not you backed up using iTunes. If so it has been said that users can revert back to iOS 6 and then make a clean installation of iOS 7. If restoring apps onto the device, it has been suggested that owners do so with care as some apps are known to drain down the battery.
