GTA Online players are in a state of trauma. Following the invasion of hackers, the players began to lose trust with other players in a lobby. Adding to the fear, Rockstar has been busy banning these cheaters from public lobbies and calls for the help of the honest GTA community.
Today, the state of GTA Online is restored to how it was before the hackings. However, the players are still wary of random appearances of players who cheat. At times, they get too wary.
A Redditor voiced out his worries on players who are too moved by the slightest of difficulties. The player, known as JSA17, is afraid that his account might be banned. This is following a recent incident where his character got a bounty. Automatically, JSA17 climbed to a roof where he fends off other players to avoid getting killed.
One player wasn’t happy with it and threatens to report him to Rockstar for cheating. The player felt that he was cheating, thinking he is invisible. JSA17 responded by telling the lad he is on the roof. The player left the lobby immediately after that.
This ability to report players for cheating can be abused after all. Just because the player couldn’t find JSA17 does not mean the latter is hacking the game.
Rockstar should be aware of this and perhaps implement a punishment for those who filed erroneous reports. As of this moment, the players in the lobby can’t do much but avoid getting accused for cheating.
