Earlier last month, Google launched the all-new Nexus 6 and the smartphone is based on the Motorola Moto X. On the other side of the world at China, Xiaomi launched the all-new Redmi Note. There are a lot of similarities between both devices but today, we are going to study the differences.
The first is the OS. The Google Nexus 6 is a launching platform for the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop. This brand new OS is still unavailable on other smartphones. The Xiaomi Redmi Note, on the other hand, runs on the old KitKat out of the box.
The second major difference is with the display on both devices. The Redmi Note comes with a 5.5” screen that runs on 1280x720p resolution. The Nexus 6 is way sharper as its 6” display runs on 2K resolution.
Then there is the camera. The Redmi Note comes with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter. This is somewhat better than the Google Nexus 6, even though it comes with the same 13MP rear camera and a smaller 2MP front shooter.
As for the processors, the Redmi Note runs on the 1.7GHz A7 processor. This is slightly less powerful than the 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 processor that powers the Google Nexus 6.
Of course, the biggest difference is the price tag between the two devices. Obviously, the Xiaomi Redmi Note is much cheaper than the Google Nexus 6.
