It wasn’t that long ago when Microsoft’s Phil Spencer revealed the Crackdown franchise is not dead yet. Fans of the game will definitely be excited on the possibility of playing the third sequel, Crackdown 3.
This is further confirmed by the game developer, Ruffian Games. The company is revealed to be looking for three C++ coders to help with “a large next-gen project” which is due for release next year. This is based on a job advertisement posted on the Scottish Games Network.
The game developer is known for the Project Gotham Racing game, which went dead after the death of Bizarre Creations. Ruffian Games look unlikely to revive the title. All the clues are pointing to a possible Crackdown 3. After a long spell of silence since the release of Crackdown 2, the news for a Crackdown 3 certainly pumps in the hype.
Since the job ad quoted “next-gen”, we can expect Crackdown 3 to be released for the Xbox One. The Crackdown series have always been an Xbox exclusive game.
