Those who follow the COD games will not be surprised by this as COD is a multi-million dollar franchise and it is something that Sledgehammer will not ignore. Sledgehammer will be putting focus on the multi-player experience and it being high level. It has been suggested that we could see Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 come out in November.
Last month we saw Drift0r upload a video and this revealed information about MW4. In the past he has been correct about other things related to Call of Duty. This time he talked about an email a source had sent him that had media files from what was said to be Modern Warfare 4.
“Somebody inside the CoD machine shared with me a variety of media files claiming to be from the next game,” Drift0r said. “The files I was sent do look legitimate and they are, at least, unique and not out there on the Internet anywhere else.”
He said that he had seen a new map for Modern Warfare 4 and the game was going to be set in a power station. He also compared tech on the map to some of that from the Oblivion movie. The game is going to be set in the near future and this came about thanks to weaponry which was along the lines of that in Titanfall, plus a PDA on the wrist of the player.
Drift0r is 99.9% sure that the next game will be Modern Warfare 4. Ghosts didn’t go down very well and it was said to be the worst game in the entire series. Along with this when Battlefield 4 arrived it came with plenty of bugs. Fans are going to be looking ahead to Titanfall and Destiny this year, so Sledgehammer should be pressured as Modern Warfare 4 would need to be very ambitious and creative.
Of course Sledgehammer studios are going to face competition when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 comes out in November. EA have Titanfall and Star Wars:Battlefront. There could be competition by way of Halo 5 but the Xbox One may not be the most dominant console on the market.
So let’s hope that Sledgehammer get things right if they are making Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 this year. They will need to make the most of the PS4 and Xbox One, and it has been said that they have some bold ideas for COD. The release calendar should not be too clustered up, so gamers should get the COD game that they rightly deserve.
