FIFA 14 Is Wrong In So Many Directions

FIFA 14 introduces physicality like no other. However, it can get really frustrating when players kept on banging into each other and fall. It is as if the field is a giant mosh pit.

Then there is the weather. Those who have been playing FIFA 14 should be able to realize that the weather system in the game is somewhat biased towards the rainy season. In 10 straight games played, more than half of them are rainy.

Another major flaw with FIFA 14 is the new scout system. While the idea is there, the implementation is poor. The scouts clearly have no idea on what the players are looking for. If the player is fuelled with so much money to spend, they might want big name signings and the scout fails to search for one. Basically, the scout system is inefficient at all.

There is also a major issue with the way players can get goals. It seems that a simple cross to a tall player has way higher odds of netting the ball. The defenders are always clueless and attacking headers are simply too effective. It needs to be more balanced.

Finally is the pace of the game. Players can use the fastest player in the planet and still can’t get past a defender. Keeping possession can be tough as the defenders are like natural magnets, even if they are lowly rated. It is perhaps too easy to lose the ball.

These are five major pointers to why EA made a poor footballing game. The game developer is not sincere with its work and only has the eyes for money making. We do hope that EA appeal to the football universe by producing a great FIFA 15 this year.
