GTA 5 killer. The next big thing. The 2014 Game of the Year. These are all the names linked to the recently released, Watch Dogs. The brand new IP from Ubisoft has got a lot of anticipation for it but the sales figures are telling a different story.
When Watch Dogs first debut, it shattered Ubisoft’s record as the best-selling game from the company. In fact, it even peaked at game charts worldwide. However, the game failed to last longer than its rival GTA 5.
Both the PS4 and Xbox One version of Watch Dogs saw the sales of the game dropping by 84%. As for the PS3 and Xbox 360, sales went down by 68%. Of course, more gamers are still on the older consoles which means the sales drop of Watch Dogs are faster on the next-gen consoles.
While the figures might look disappointing, the game isn’t. Watch Dogs is probably the best game around at this moment and there is no reason why gamers should avoid it.
