Drivers who are looking to own a sedan from Volkswagen are facing a huge dilemma. They simply find it hard to decide between the Jetta and the Passat. The latter is the smaller and cheaper while the latter is the more powerful of the two.
Well, drivers can now look in-between both sedans as VW is planning to launch a new line of cars that will fit in at that slot. It is already confirmed after VW shared the concept design of the vehicle during the latest Beijing Auto Show.
VW’s head of design, Klaus Bischoff, claims that the vehicle will be smaller and cheaper to the VW CC. It is touted as the avant-garde protagonist for a new compact sedan class.
The German carmaker further revealed that the car will be mass produced in Mexico and China. It will be based on the MQB architecture and will look to be debut in 2016.
Even today, the car looks as if it is production-ready which means that there isn’t much left to do from VW’s end. The car will look to feature crisp lines, horizontal detailing and extensive surfacing which truly symbolizes VW. Other specs include heavily curved roofline, frameless doors and notchback-style rear, similar to VW CC.
