There are speculations coming in our way that Volvo is going to introduce the new Volvo XC90 Polestar in the near future. Volvo’s turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-liter, Drive-E four cylinder comes with 316 horsepower is powerful enough, but Polestar is confident that they can do better than that.
The new Volvo XC90 is said to produce 350 horsepower or more, with twin-charged powerplant that will come together with the eight-speed automatic. Taking SUV as an example, they want to produce an XC car that can go on the track as well.
Rumors say that the Volvo XC90 will arrive next year as two models, the high-performance diesel for Europe, and the gas-fueled version for the US. Polestar will also make some modifications to the suspension, breaks, and looks of the new model.
Nonetheless, is it true that Volvo is taking its inspiration from the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT to produce the Volvo XC90 Polestar? If yes, will it have the same look as the Jeep’s signature look?
